Alhamdulillaah, I am an OIC student and been with Al-Baseerah, I guess for two or more years, alhamdulillaah.

I was not sure where to put this post so please forgive me admin if this is the incorrect place to put this post and maybe not relevant to OIC or seeking knowledge.

I guess you can say one sort of "da'wah" activity I am involved in has to do with matchmaking. I have some very good friends who are rightheous and good sisters and equally have had difficulty finding good and righteous brothers.


I have talked to various sisters/aunties in the communities for them but to no avail.

And I have contacted other matchmakers on the issue.

Basically, I have told my friends to make a biodata about them.

So my request is that if there are other sisters and brothers willing to help me with this project in the long run.

Any IT ppl on the ofrum willing to start a software project beneficial for Shyooks or Students of Knowledge? Or providing security solution for Dawah websites?

My dear brother, I am delighted by your offer. I strongly feel, I would be needing you. I have several on going Dawah activities. However, I presently suspending all of my Dawa activities untill I sit down with few Shaiks and seeking to get some answers in crtical matters. I would strongly suggest you to help Albaseerah. I swear by Allah, I was looking for this kind of programs since 2004. When I was leaving Mecca in 2004, I was thinking, is it possible to bring our youth to Mecca and let them sit with some good scholars so that their misinterpretation of Islam will be removed that thought has become truth by Albaseerah. Please, help them. Allah will help you.Send E-Mail to others, create pops-up, talk about it, distribute flayers, and if you are public speaker in Islamic subject, in the middle of talk Al-baseerah. But always maintain neutral. some people may think you are involved with them but just need to say" I like this kind of programs and I wish you should do the same".

I am asking simple thing: is there a possibility to make new flayers. I feel the flayers may take some brothers attention. I love to distribute Al-baseerah flayers. It is very good. so please make new flayers. and I wish some others brother do the same. Please black and white. .

Imagine you have a chance to run some adds on radio, or you meet someone who is interested in learning about Islam, which website you would refer them to?

I know a brother Yusuf Estes has a dozen of websites for new comers I am not posting link as they will be removed, but one can easily google for them.

My idea is that I am looking for a project manager from this forum, may be one of the admins and commitment from Sheikh Zahid to super vise in creating a website that has:

-- Muhasin-al-Islam
-- commonly asked (may be controversial) questions/answers by
non muslims
-- authentic info about Islam
-- all the links a person considering Islam may need:
-- such as how to get a translation of Quran
-- list of recommended books and how to get them
-- list of all Ahlus Sunnah centres in North America
-- some brouchures and flyers etc

Once we have such a website ready we can ask other AhleSunnah centres in North America to comment and give feedback,

the goal is to have one website that all the AhleSunnah centres can use for referring non muslims.

So whats next:

a. Need approval from Sheikh Zahid
b. Need a project manager

c. Project manager will make a action plan and milestones to be achieved for first protoype and can either get volunteers to work on it or create a project plan on rentacoder.com and get it done for low prices from people in South Asia etc. (I have someone who has shown interest in financing it as well)

d. Review with Sheikh Zahid and perform the improvements

e. Get other AhleSunnah centres to provide feed back and get them all listed on the website so that people can find closest centres.

f. Start marketing and spreading the site

g. InshaAllah Allah Subhanao will bless this and we will have lots of hits and successes and an accepted and extremely profitable transaction with Allah Subhanao.

As-Salamu Alikum, I am very glad to hear that the 5th educational seminar has been scheduled. It is my pleasure to serve Allah (SWT) and assist sheik Zahid in best of my ability. I hope every participant of last seminar should distribute flayers and post bills and put ads on local news papers. thank you

I would like to make few suggestions:
First, in the time of economic down turn the admistrative authority should need to realize the financial ability of individuals and try to make the flayers in the black and white format.
Second, in the various cities, try to create a regional cadre. Those who are intelligent enough to comprehend the functionality and legality of the areas.
Third, create strength in managarial activities and make potential growth projections.
Fourth, provide training among engaged members so that they may become a cadre.
Presently, I feel these are the core factors Al-Baseerah need to deal with.
