Question: A person masturbated during the daytime in Ramadaan and he was saddened and wants to know how to make amends for this.

Answer: The Shaykh حفظه الله said that what he did was not lawful and he (the person) has to make it up. In a hadith, it says "the fasting person gives up his food, his drink and his desires".[1] So he should make up that day and he should not repeat this act which he committed.
