Question: Concerning a person hearing the adhaan, can he continue eating or drinking?
Answer: The Shaykh حفظه الله said the adhaan has been made as a sign for the beginning of fasting and the end of fasting; so if a man hears the adhaan at the time of Fajr and he has some food or drink in his hand, there is no problem with him finishing this. He may finish his food and drink because the religion is easy[1] and it is not tough
