Assalaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
I am a single female .My two maternal uncles are the closest mahrams to me,but they do not practise Islaam even though they are Muslims,and they are not willing to accompany me in my search for a husband.The closest relative who practises Islaam and who understands the responsibilities of a mahram is my cousin.Also,there is no Imam in the area I live in ,at least none who is upon the way of the Salaf.My question is who is to be my wali in this situation and can I appoint one for myself due to necessity?
