As Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

Is it permissible to offer Hajj while owing debts such as student loans to the Government which will take 20+ years to pay off? Barak'Allahu Feekum

Asalaamu alaykum

I am on a two year Arabic course. In the first year we study grammar(hidayatu nahw) and the book stories of the prophets. In the the second year however the course will include the following books of logic by Al-Ghazali:
al-Qistas al-mustaqim (the just balance)
Miyar al-Ilm fi fan al-Mantiq (The criterion of knowledge)

Would you advise not continuing to the second year.

Default Pregnant/nursing during ramadhan

Is it obligatory for a pregnant/nursing mother to fast? If not is it sufficient alone for her to feed a fasting person,or does she have to actually fast when she can to make the days up?

As-Salaamu `alaykum waRahmatu Allahi waBarakaatuh,

Question: When is the du`aa, "Allahumma `ainnee `alaa dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni `ibaadak," said? Is it before one does tasleem, or after?

Hafidhakum Allah wa baarak Allahu feekum.

Assalamualaikum wrahmatullah,
Hayyakallah shaykhunal fadeel.
Some of our elders are fixed upon treating this month as a month of eating - such that it is customary for them to break the fast in extravagence and are upset if they do not have foods which they desire because they have stroven to keep the fast.
Please advise us on how to tackle the situation especially if they are one's parents. As often food goes to waste and there is no keeness in sharing with the neighbours who may be kuffar, and advising is to no avail.
Barakallahu feek w jazakallahu khyra
Wassalamualaikum wrahmatullah

Default Ramaadhan questions and one maritial question and one regarding studies

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاؤته

First of all, may Allaah bless all those making this possible and providing us to benefit from the scholars, and may Allaah bless the noble shuyookh for participating and teaching us, higer them in rank and grant them tawfiq.

I have multipe questions I ask for me and others. Inchaa2a Allaah this is ok. if not forgive me inchaa2a Allaah.

Question regarding day of 3eid:

How should be acted in the following case;
Many of us here in The Netherlands start the blessed month of ramadhaan here but will be leaving to other countries, like for instance Morocco, in the last two weeks for vacation and joining family for al-3eid bi idni Allaah. The case is the start end end of this Sacred month differs between these countries. Al-3eid is 1 day earlier in Morocco and they started a day earlier with the fast wal7amdulillaahi. If we would join them we would fast 1 day shorter then the Sacred month is because we started it in the Netherlands. Are we suposed to join al-3eid in Morocco or should we fast a/that day longer or should we fast that extra day later or isnt it necassery? Barak Allaahu feek.

Mingling due to family dinners in Ramadhaan;
If the husband of a woman wants to eat together with his familymembers during ramadhaan (or outside but most often during) wich results in mingling between non-mahariim (not seperated) but sees no harm in this. How should he be advised since he wont listen and sees it as making this more difficult then necassery. Barak Allaahu feek.

Advise regarding raising children:
What age would be advised to start with hijaab by a little girl (before it is obligatory on her) so she wil get used to it and it will become a habbit.
What age should be started with truly teaching the kids islam and quran?

Advise regarding conflict due to niqaab;
How should be handled in the following case. Before marriage the woman wore niqaab. The husband agreed with it. After almost two years he ordered her to take it of or he would divorce her. After consulting a scholar it was told her she would be in no sin to take it of (if he truly would divorce her, she just gave birth of first child) so for the child she choose to stay and take it off. She finds it very difficult untill this day, she is of the opinion it is waajib for a woman to cover her face. And she wanted to start wear it again but found out she was pregnant again wal7amdulillaahi, and he still said to divorce her if she would. Know after trying for over two years she still wants to wear it for the Sake and Pleasure of Allaah azza wa djal, but the situation remains te same but the guilt and longing to wear it grows. What should she do.

Default Fasting in Ramadhaan and menses.

Our respected Shaykh, may Allah preserve you and give you tawfeeq, ameen.

What should a woman do if she becomes clean from her menses during the daytime in Ramadhaan? Should she fast for the remainder of that day even though she did not have the intention to fast before fajr, or does she wait until the next day to begin fasting after having made the intention to fast before fajr?

Bismi Allaahi Arra7man Arra7iim

Al ssalaam 3alaykum wa ra7matu Allaahi wa barakaatuhu

If one starts fast in europe where it starts a day later then Morocco and goes on vacation to Morocco in the last two weeks of ramadhaan can they join al-3eid there or should they keep the fast a day longer since they started in an europe country where it starts and ends a day later.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu
dear Shaykh,

The day before the end of my Iddah, my husband said to me, "I take you back". The next day I was clean from this 3rd menses. Since then after almost 3 days he does not approach me intimately. Just as before, he does not give me my rights since he has almost no desire for women (like impotent). He is not interested in relating in a loving way to a wife so I do not think he has decided to change by taking me back. Does this 'taking back' actually count? I'm very uncertain about this and I wonder is my entire iddah definitely wasted simply because of his words, words without any action?

JazzakhaAllahu kheiran.

Default Iftar/breaking fast

Does getting angry cause ones fast to be void?

When should one stop eating or drinking for suhur?

If you get up to late for suhur, do u still have to fast?

Assalamu alaykum,

My older brother paid for an online teaching course, which I have also completed. The course work is done through the internet, and since he is very busy with work and does not have time, and since I have already completed the course and have my answers with me; he asked me to complete the course for him. I want to know if this falls under cheating; keeping in mind that everyone who registers for this course if given the same exact multiple choice questions to answer, and whether you get a low mark or high mark you are still granted the certificate.
