Noble brothers and sisters ...

I Have a suggestion and ofcoures want/appreciate your advice/input on it.

Even though we do not study in a class room setting, we still are part of one class and that is OIC. Thus it is upon us that we create an evironment which will help us grow in our knowledge and spiritually.
One of the best ways...i think ( and indeed, what i think is very insignificant) is by reviving the methodology of the Salaf, that is , the memorization of texts.

Firstly : We should start by memorizing the Matn of the text that we are learning *[ iam sure there are other -more able- students who probably are doing this and may Allah grant you success in this dunia and akhirah and to all of us ameen]

Secondly : set a certain amount of portion to complete by the start of the next class and then have a "checkin thread" to state that we have completed this task

Thirdly: Memorize other mutoon like the 40 hadeeth of imam an-Nawawee.. or few ahadeeth from the kitaab at-Tauheed of Sahih al-Bukharee etc. This is very important for us to revive, that is the memorization of ahadeeth [ and the best being 'with its chain']. The Salaf-us-Salhiheen rahimahumullah are known for their ability to memorize the ahadeeth of our beloved Prophet sallallaahu Alayhi wasallam.

And ofcourse, memorization of Qur'aan is extremely necessary especially for us OIC students if not all. I did not include this in the suggestions because , memorization of Qur'aan is a given. We should set some time for it, and a set portion for it, regardless.
