Default Jun-17-2006 - Questions here were Answered by Shaykh Wasi-Ullaah Al-'Abbas

Ahsalamualaikum
My husband has five children with my co-wife Masha Allah . I have three children that are from a previous marriage. We live as though all the children belong to all of us in matters of provision education and discipline. Sometimes her younger one calls me his second or step mother is this term incorrect to use as it is very popular here in the west. And I read the Ayyat that says for us to call our children by their fathers names and if you don't know their fathers names call them your brother in Islam or your freed slaves. Is my husband my childrens step father or are they his freed slaves. Please note that he is the sole provider of All parties mentioned MashaAllah. JzkmAllahuKhayr

Default Question for Next Lecture

Assalaamu 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuh

My mother isn't very knowledgeable in the religion, either in its usool or its furoo'. Also, she isn't mentally stable. Can I ask a trustworthy non-mahram woman to find me a suitable spouse, or to look into the condition of a woman I might already be interested in? All the women to whom I'm closely-related live in another country.

May Allah (Ta'ala) show you His Face in jannah.

Default if forget action during wudhu

If one forgets to wash their mouth during wudhu before completing wudhu, is it permissible to go back and wash the mouth, and restart wudhu from that point or do they have to wash the whole face over again (as mouth is part of face)?

Default Wudu with intention other than for salaah

assalaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah,

If wudu is performed after using the bathroom with the intention of maintaining a state of purity and not specifically for performing salaah, and then the time for salaah comes in - must a new wudu be performed?
Similarly if the wudu was with the intention of that done before going to sleep, but one does not sleep and wants to pray nafl salaah - must a new wudu be done.

Baarak Allaahu feek.
