I pass wind frequently and so, I only make wudu' once for each salat period. My questions are:
1) One time, after making wudu during the time for salatul-Duha, i passed wind then wore my socks & prayed Duha; I then made wudu for Dhuhr & wiped over my socks. Was this wiping valid (because the wudu was still valid for prayer when I wore my socks) or was it invalid (because I had passed wind). 2) what if during the time for one prayer (eg Dhuhr), the person with inconsistency does not break his wudu'; can he use the same wudu for the next prayer (i.e. Asr)? And what if he breaks this wudu' (which he made for zuhr) during the Asr prayer; can he continue with his prayer or must he make leave & a new wudu for Asr? |

Assalaamu alaikum,
In last fiqh lecture (Feb 2007) it was mentioned that it is obligatory for one to make wudhu after they fall unconscious and return back to their senses. Is this meant that before the person prays (or offers an act of worship requiring tahaarah) that wudhu must be redone or is this obligatory wudhu legislated specfically for returning to consciousness whether one intends to offer a prayer or not? |

Jazakum Allahu khayran.
Question: [Moderators, I know its long, but it is actually 6 different questions for one case] As-salaamu 'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh, 1.These questions are regarding someone who passes wind a lot. Some times, the wind is frequent such that in salaat he might pass wind in every rak'ah and at other times, he might not pass wind at all during the prayer. (The person has not determined whether the wind is irregular or at particular times of the day): (a)I understand that after making wudu' for one prayer (e.g. Dhuhr), the wudu' is valid for that prayer even if the person passes wind. Is this correct? And what if during the time for that prayer (Dhuhr), the person with this sickness does not break his wudu'; can he use the same wudu for the next prayer (i.e. Asr) especially when he does not have enough time to make a new wudu' before 'Asr starts? And what if he breaks this wudu' (which he made for Dhuhr) during the Asr prayer; can he continue with his prayer or must he leave & make a new wudu for Asr? (b) If a new wudu' must be made for every salat; does this refer to the 5 obligatory ones or does one have to make a new wudu' when he is about to pray Duha & Tahajjud (even if he didn't sleep)? (c) Some drugs which might cure the illness were found but it was also found that they may have been made from ingredients derived from non-zabiha meat and so, these drugs were not used. Was this correct? And what does one do if the drug's ingredients are derived from pork or one is unsure of their source? (d) What does this person do when he is praying in congregation - he can't hold the wind as it will disturb his khushoo & if he passes it, the smell would disturb his brothers. (e) When someone with this sickness (of frequent wind) passes wind after making wudu' & then wears socks, can he wipe over the socks for the next wudu' (based on the fact that his wudu was still valid for prayer at the time he wore his socks) or does he have to remove his socks & wash his feet (based on the fact that he had passed wind)? (f) What does the person do if he passes wind while making wudu' & ghusl; can he continue or does he have to restart again? Jazak Allahu khayran. |
